Review of Free Online Game Demolition City
Game Reviews January 7th, 2010There is a game available to play on the internet called Demolition City designed by joeybetz. It can be accessed at:

This games is a very relaxing game. It is quick to learn and falls into the category of “fun problem solving games”. The game contains 20 different levels which get more difficult as you advance through the levels. It is a good fun game that will provide about 15 – 50 minutes of gaming fun.
The rules are simple and easy to learn but it will take some practice to determine the proper strategy.
The game is a simple game of demolishing buildings. Sticks of dynamite are provide to you to place on the building. Some levels have two dynamite sticks while other levels provide up to 8 sticks. The first level is a very simple building in which you have three sticks of dynamite. By placing them on the supporting structure you are able to take away the support of the building and it topples down. There is a clearance line that all the support beams need to fall under for you to pass the level and move on to the next level. If you do not get all the beams under the clearance line, you must play the level again. You get bonus points for the style and time you take to pass the level.
As you progress through the levels, the wood support beams get supplemented by steel beams. You cannot place dynamite on these beams so you have to work around that problem and take the support out from under them with the beams you can place dynamite on.
Some of the harder levels have another building that is positioned to the right of the building you are trying to demolish. The beams from your building cannot touch this completed building. Therefore, you have to position your dynamite in such a way that the demolished building falls to the left while still clearing the clearance line.
This game is recommended for someone with 15 – 30 minutes to play. I would give it 4.5 stars as a game that is easy to learn but challenging to master. Even someone who is not really into online games would enjoy this game. As you finesse the art of placing the dynamite, you can go back and see if you can get more points than you previously got. You can even play in the same room with someone on a different computer and see if you can beat them.
